Worthy Brother Christopher - Last Saturday, Nov. 2, 2025, St. Francis of Assisi Council 11746, Blairsville, GA in conjunction with the American Red Cross, conducted a Blood Drive at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Marian Hall, 3717 GA 515E, Blairsville, GA 30512. 30 units of blood were collected, which exceeded our goal of 25 units. I am the current Blood Drive Leader for the event. I have attached three photos of the event, at the request of Worthy State Advocate, Michael Basak, who stopped by with his family to see how the drive was going along, and to visit his father's grave site at the church's cemetery located next to Marian Hall. In Memorial Mr. George “Chip” Watson Clendaniel age 72 of Locust Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Clendaniel was born on September 13, 1951 in Washington, DC., the son of the late George Watson Clendaniel Jr. and the late Margaret Sable Clendaniel. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. Chip was very active in his church serving as Alter Server, a member of the Knights of Columbus and started the first blood drive at the church. He was a loving and caring man of God who loved his church and his family dearly. Chip was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
