Coats for kids Giving Tuesday

When we invited you to provide the gift of a warmth to children in need, you responded with overwhelming generosity. Thank you for helping us exceed our Giving Tuesday goal! Including the matching gift of $250,000, we raised a total of $593,291. These donations will allow us to distribute more than 30,000 coats this winter to children throughout North America.


 

To illustrate the impact, this past fall, Knights delivered coats for schoolchildren at Red Lake Reservation in Minnesota, one of the most impoverished communities in the state. WATCH VIDEO.

 In Memorial Mr. George “Chip” Watson Clendaniel age 72 of Locust Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Clendaniel was born on September 13, 1951 in Washington, DC., the son of the late George Watson Clendaniel Jr. and the late Margaret Sable Clendaniel. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. Chip was very active in his church serving as Alter Server, a member of the Knights of Columbus and started the first blood drive at the church. He was a loving and caring man of God who loved his church and his family dearly. In Memoriam: Walt Scott We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Walter Scott of Hiawassee, Georgia, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Walter Scott to show support. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Scott and Jane Smith Scott; his daughter Jill Sharon Scott; and his sister Janet Bell. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Hokenson Scott of Hiawassee; his children, Jeff Scott of Hiawassee, Jody (Fred Federico) and Jean (Ty Martin); his grandchildren, Tasia (Dan Nabors), William Knapp, Marissa Martin and Harrison Martin; his great grandchildren, Tate, Beau and Jett Nabors; his niece Lori (Ron Matthias); and his nephew Dan Bell. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
