Silver Rose at the Border Every year, Knights of Columbus councils reaffirm their commitment to the sanctity of life while honoring the Blessed Mother through the Order’s Silver Rose program. Along several routes from Canada to Mexico, Knights steward the roses and, at each stop, local communities pray for the defense of life. During the program’s 60th anniversary last year, Texas Knights handed off the silver rose to Knights from Mexico at the international border in Laredo, Dec. 9, 2020. The silver rose was later present at a Mass on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec. 12) at the basilica dedicated to her in Monterrey, Mexico. WATCH VIDEO |
