Next Exemplifications

Dear Worthy First and Second Degree Brothers -

Our Council's next Exemplification is on 23 January 2022, and will take place inside St Francis of Assisi Church. Please keep this date open on your calendars.  

Registration will begin at 2:30 PM, and the ceremony will start at 3:00 PM. Spouses and family are invited to attend and witness the ceremony.   On behalf of your Council Officers, I am asking you to participate in this exemplification, and become a Third Degree Knight.  There are up to three new online members of our council that will be participating in the ceremony.  Please join them in advancing to the Third Degree.  More information will be provided to you as we near the date.  There is no additional cost to become a Third Degree Knight - just be sure your dues are current, or you can get current when you register.  There will be a small reception after the ceremony so you may meet everyone in attendance.  

Being a Third Degree Knight allows you to have additional rights and privileges you do not have as a First or Second Degree Knight, but in no way encumbers you beyond what you already are doing in terms of service to the organization. 

FYI - all new members of the K of C, go through the above exemplification and become Third Degree Knights.  There are no more individual First or Second Degree exemplification ceremonies.  These were ended nearly two years ago, when the new ceremony became effective.

 In Memorial Mr. George “Chip” Watson Clendaniel age 72 of Locust Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Clendaniel was born on September 13, 1951 in Washington, DC., the son of the late George Watson Clendaniel Jr. and the late Margaret Sable Clendaniel. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. Chip was very active in his church serving as Alter Server, a member of the Knights of Columbus and started the first blood drive at the church. He was a loving and caring man of God who loved his church and his family dearly. In Memoriam: Walt Scott We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Walter Scott of Hiawassee, Georgia, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Walter Scott to show support. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Scott and Jane Smith Scott; his daughter Jill Sharon Scott; and his sister Janet Bell. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Hokenson Scott of Hiawassee; his children, Jeff Scott of Hiawassee, Jody (Fred Federico) and Jean (Ty Martin); his grandchildren, Tasia (Dan Nabors), William Knapp, Marissa Martin and Harrison Martin; his great grandchildren, Tate, Beau and Jett Nabors; his niece Lori (Ron Matthias); and his nephew Dan Bell.
