If you’re anything like me, you sometimes get confused by all of the rules and regulations that govern our financial lives. 

What can we do? When can we do it? How much is too much? When is too soon? What’s taxed? What’s not?

Those questions become even more important and even more complicated when you’re working through your retirement plan. That’s when the stakes are at their highest. 

Everyone’s situation is different and warrants the attention of their own tax, legal or accounting professional. But there are some recognized experts in the field who can impart valuable general wisdom. I want to invite you to hear from one of those experts. 

Our agency is helping host a special live webinar “Retirement Planning in a Changing Landscape” featuring America’s IRA Expert Ed Slott. Ed is a nationally recognized speaker, television personality and best-selling author known for his unparalleled ability to turn advanced tax strategies into understandable, actionable, and entertaining advice. He combines current research, in-depth expertise, and humor to teach guests about the ins and outs of their retirements and provides insight to the latest tax and planning information. 

Whether you’re currently retired or want to make sure you’re prepared to retire when you want to, you won’t want to miss this special event.

 In Memorial Mr. George “Chip” Watson Clendaniel age 72 of Locust Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Clendaniel was born on September 13, 1951 in Washington, DC., the son of the late George Watson Clendaniel Jr. and the late Margaret Sable Clendaniel. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. Chip was very active in his church serving as Alter Server, a member of the Knights of Columbus and started the first blood drive at the church. He was a loving and caring man of God who loved his church and his family dearly. In Memoriam: Walt Scott We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Walter Scott of Hiawassee, Georgia, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Walter Scott to show support. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Scott and Jane Smith Scott; his daughter Jill Sharon Scott; and his sister Janet Bell. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Hokenson Scott of Hiawassee; his children, Jeff Scott of Hiawassee, Jody (Fred Federico) and Jean (Ty Martin); his grandchildren, Tasia (Dan Nabors), William Knapp, Marissa Martin and Harrison Martin; his great grandchildren, Tate, Beau and Jett Nabors; his niece Lori (Ron Matthias); and his nephew Dan Bell. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
